Radisson Hotel Istanbul Sultanahmet

Our first visit to Istanbul and could not have chosen a better hotel, staff friendly on arrival, room set up perfrct with Seaview balcony. Great suggestions are recommended, especially the evening boat tour on the Bosphorus,with dinner, entertainment, and music. Although we did not eat at the hotel, the staff were able to arrange for pick up to a restaurant, which brings you back to the hotel. Complimentary fruit was delivered as room service. Please book if looking to stay in Istanbul, just a 10 minute walk to the Blue Mosque and Hajia Sophia Mosque.

10-15 minute walk away from The Hagia Sofia/Blue Mosque/Basilica Cistern, which are all within a few metres of what is essentially a public transport hub. That hub puts the whole of Istanbul within easy striking distance (learn how to use the tram/bus system and thank me later). Lovely, clean rooms with everything you'd need, including a safe, kettle, iron, hair dryer etc. I had a room at the back and was completely happy with that. I ate breakfast there every day, buffet style and plentiful. I also ate my main meal of the day, every day, in their restaurant and was very happy with the service and the quality. Last but by absolutely no means least, the staff. From check-in to departure and everything in between, nothing was too much trouble from the lovely manager on down. If only everybody in the hospitality business were so genuine, accommodating, and professional. 100% recommended.

The staff were so kind and helpful, they gave us a tonne of information on where to go and what to do as it was our first time in Istanbul, they helped organise dinner reservations and booking taxi’s for us. 24/7 reception and concierge was amazing and our flight got cancelled 11pm the night before and the staff were able to extend our stay.

The property has many good things like; 1: The location is amazing with mesmerizing view of sea, sunrise and the city. All key attractions are at walking distance i.e. Aya Sophia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazar, Arafat Bazar, Topakapi palace, sea and cruise. 2: The property is super clean and fully facilitated 3: The staff is supportive especially “ RIDVAN” he is extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. Thanks man! 4: Metro, Tram and bus stop at walking distance 5: Breakfast was super awesome Highly recommended for a great experience. I was really impressed with the receptionist named Hikmet. My daughter lost her phone in Istanbul and he didn’t spare any effort and patience in retrieving the phone for us! He was constantly calling all the relevant authorities well beyond midnight until the phone was found and returned to the hotel! Such an exceptional service! Also the remaining staff members really impressed me with their helpfulness and prompt assistance to all matters.
